Tim Campbell grew up in London and worked in a variety of roles before applying for a new BBC business reality series in 2005, one of thousands of hopeful candidates competing for a job working directly for businessman Lord Alan Sugar.
Campbell won the very first series of The Apprentice, impressing Lord Sugar with his business acumen, calm composure under pressure and consistent team leadership throughout the gruelling competition, becoming the show's first-ever winner.
After completing his prize role working within Lord Sugar's business empire, Campbell went on to found Bright Ideas Trust, a charity supporting young entrepreneurs from disadvantaged backgrounds in starting their own businesses, reflecting his commitment to expanding opportunity for others.
Campbell was awarded an MBE for services to entrepreneurship, and has continued to return to The Apprentice in an advisory capacity, mentoring subsequent contestants while building a career as a respected business commentator and advocate for diversity and opportunity in British enterprise.
