Storm Reid began acting in commercials and small television roles as a young child before landing her breakthrough role as the young lead in Ava DuVernay's 2018 film adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time, one of the largest-budget films directed by a Black woman in Hollywood history.
Reid went on to build a substantial career across both film and television, taking on prominent roles in the acclaimed HBO series Euphoria and the critically celebrated video game adaptation The Last of Us, demonstrating range across genres from prestige drama to blockbuster productions.
Beyond acting, Reid founded her own production company, Iam Storm Reid, while still a teenager, positioning herself to shape projects behind the camera as well as in front of it, an unusually early move into producing for an actress her age.
Reid has continued to build a career spanning acting, producing and public advocacy, remaining one of the most consistently working young Black actresses in contemporary film and television while still in her early twenties.
