Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

Dwayne Douglas Johnson was born on 2 May 1972 in Hayward, California, into a wrestling family — his father Rocky Johnson and grandfather Peter Maivia were both professional wrestlers. Johnson played college football at the University of Miami before a brief stint in the Canadian Football League led him to follow his family's path into professional wrestling.

Wrestling under the name "The Rock," Johnson became one of the most popular performers in WWE history through the late 1990s and early 2000s, known for his charisma and catchphrases, before transitioning to a full-time film career in the mid-2000s. He built a run of blockbuster franchises including the Fast & Furious series, Jumanji, and Moana, in which he voiced the character Maui.
